Why a Consistent Stream of New and Engaging Content is Crucial.
Consistency is not just about the look and feel but the volume and frequency of your communication with the world.
Unfortunately, your one video that you’re so proud of and probably spent a lot of money on is just going to get lost in the sea of garbage that is floating around on the internet. 95 million photos and videos are posted to Instagram every day. That’s just Instagram.
If your goal is to generate awareness and motivate people to action, it’s going to take more.
More content. More engagement.
More substance.
Research shows that, on average, you have to see an ad seven times before you even notice it. Beyond that, you need people to click on it and act on it. That might not happen with your first or even your second ad. You need a steady stream of new and engaging material that motivates people to come back over and over again until they follow through on your call to action.
I know the main thing swirling around in your head is “I don’t have the budget for that.” Well that depends. There are ways to maximize your content and stretch it so that it goes further.
If you only have enough money for one video, break it up into shorter segments and use that material to drive viewers to the main piece. Pull out quotes and overlay them over stills pulled from the video and post those. Leverage every single bit of material so that it all works together across all platforms.
It all depends on what your goals are. If you’re launching a year long campaign, you’re going to need more than one video, even if you stretch it like I suggested. If your initiative is designed to last a month then you can probably do a lot with just that one video.
